"Recently, during the Chrismas and New Year holidays, members of the UHAI community development program made an effort to visit members of the community living with HIV/AIDS, and also mobilised the youth through sports in an awareness campaign.
In this interaction with the community members, we realised that there is still a need for information by our youth on issues concerning HIV/AIDS in this part of Kenya.
For this reason, UHAI members came up with a plan that will make it easier for the community, including the youth, to access information. We want to start an FM Radio station, one that will be disscusing health issues, including HIV/AIDS, and managed by the community members who best know the challenges they encounter every day.
We would like the advice of members on how to accomplish this noble dream. Anyone who has done this before, including fundraising, equipment purchasing, and other aspects of setting up such an enterprise, are welcome to share their experiences and advice.
Thanks for your support.
