The red RibbonThe red ribbon is an international symbol which is hung on the clothes to show its solidarity in relation to the victims of the HIV and of the AIDS. History Created on the initiative of the Visual Aids Artists Caucus (a group of American artists) and from Franck Moore (painter living in New York), the red ribbon comes into the world with idea that it would be possible to carry it near the heart to represent solidarity with the affected persons by the HIV and those died of the AIDS. Dear Colleagues, As members of the NGO Delegation to the UNAIDS board, we are writing to ask for your engagement as we discuss the UNAIDS Evaluation with our fellow board members.Our upcoming board meeting will be dedicated to the discussion of the Second Independent Evaluation of UNAIDS and UNAIDS’ response (all available on our website www.unaidspcbngo.org ). The report turned up some important findings about the working and relevance of the UNAIDS programme. In an attempt to make UNAIDS more accountable and responsive, we do not want to lose the opportunity that this meeting affords to foster real discussion. We need your help to let the board know that civil society is concerned about the future of UNAIDS and will insist on critical aspects of the program.
